Air Loungers: Choosing the Right Fit for Your Adventure
Air loungers come in various designs, and not all are one-size-fits-all. To make an informed choice, consider the environment where you’ll be using your lounger. Here are some key points to keep in mind:
- Inflation and Stability: Inflating an air lounger requires practice. Once inflated, secure it in place—especially in windy conditions—to prevent it from blowing away. If someone is sitting on it, stability improves further.
- Group Size: The number of inflatables you need depends on your group size. Whether it’s a family outing or a solo adventure, plan accordingly. Our family has two loungers, which comfortably accommodates both kids lying side by side and allows me to stretch out fully on the other. Or all four of us can sit upright next to each other across the tow. They really are so versatile.
Advantages of Owning an Inflatable Lounger
- Versatility: An inflatable lounger is a versatile companion. Take it anywhere—be it a beach, park, or garden. It serves as extra seating or a lounger, and you can even use it as a seat for two adults.
- Portability: Its lightweight design allows you to carry it effortlessly. Plus, it keeps you off the ground, providing a comfortable spot wherever you go.
- Easy Maintenance: The material is both comfortable and hard wearing. It wipes down easily after poolside use or outdoor adventures.
Factors to Consider When Buying an Inflatable Lounger
- Size Matters: Finding the right-sized lounger can be tricky. Consider your preferences and the lounger’s dimensions. For us, the perfect pack-down size was 12 x 8 x 4 inches (we are a family of 4 we take a lot of stuff around). Do yourself a favour and buy the larger one for the space you have available, they’re much more versatile. You could use it indoors at a table, outside or just stand it up in the corner to get it out the way. Our ideal way to lounge would have a nice soft fleece rug to sleep on with my book tucked into the side pocket (and probably a beer nearby too).
Activity Level and Usage
Think about your family’s activity level. If you’re a little adventurous and enjoy city walks, paddle boarding, cycling, or beach volleyball, an air-filled lounger is a great fit. It’s versatile enough to accompany you on various escapades.
3. Kids’ Needs
Involving your kids in the decision-making process is essential. Kids can be easily bored, especially when tired. Opt for a lounger that’s easy to wipe clean—after all, they might not bother taking off their shoes or checking for mud or food remnants.
4. Comfort and Ease of Use
Ultimately, the most critical factor is your comfort. Ensure that the lounger feels just right for you. Additionally, prioritize ease of transport. Whether you’re on a budget or seeking a specific style, research thoroughly to find the best lounger that aligns with your preferences.
